I have heard from reasonable sources that playing a digeridoo for a few minutes a day can stop snoring. This leads me to beleive that tonifying the airways and the lungs could help quite a bit. But, as Earl said, there are many possible causes. So if you can identify the cause then you will have the answer as to what treatment will be the most effective.
Let us know about any successes or frustrations regarding the treatment of snoring, or anything else by posting it here.

I have used the allergy points (allergy, ACTH, Interferon, Cortisone, Thymus) with great results for nasal congestion for allergy.
There are many causes of snoring. If we narrow the airway as with whistling, we make a noise. The narrowing may be the nasal valve in the front of the nose, the septum or the turbinates, the nasopharynx with adenoids, or palate, large tonsils, weight gain and large tissue in the oropharynx, or ptosis of the tongue. The uvulopalatoplasty, tonsillectomy, adenoidectomy, septoplasty, turbinate reductions have all been used. The UPP has been known to have an 80% success rate but it may not last. It also depends on the ear of the listener. Not all snoring is sleep apnea but sleep apnea can cause snoring. Reflux may play a part by causing spasm of the oropharynx. Supine postion may cause ptosis of the tongue and make noise. Elevation of the head of the bed may be helpful. Avoid flexing the neck with too many pillows because it may narrow the airway.
Snoring seems to have many causes.
Hope this helps.

Hmmm... I would be interested in knowing this as well. I have never had anyone tell me it helped with snoring. As with anything, if I think about what causes snoring, it is a looseness at the back of the throat. So I would try needling the throat / pharnyx area to tonify it. Anyone else?
