Qigong is a healing art of moving meditation. This qigong is called Sheng Zhen, which means, “the highest truth”. Its purpose is healing of mind body and emotions. The flowing movements of this qigong, along with its contemplative messages, reduces anxiety and worry, and opens the heart to deep levels of peace and compassion for all. In our daily lives, we need practices such as this one to move through our stresses, which helps us to be of greater service within our communities.
“Sheng Zhen Qigong helps us to Strengthen the Body, Relax the Mind, and Open the Heart. This state permeates all aspects of our being, and we remain naturally balanced and peaceful within.” - Master Li Jun Feng
“Qi” is the unlimited life force, and “gong” means to cultivate the qi. Through intentful interaction of the physical movements with contemplations, this qigong brings us to a state of inner peace and connection.
Sheng Zhen Qigong has several forms, each with 3 – 16 movements, interspersed with holding positions, as well as nonmoving meditation forms. Any one of the forms can be practiced to bring one to a state of ease and open heartedness.
When we open our hearts and connect to the state of the “highest truth” we have the greatest quality of qi available for healing our mind, heart and body. This practice of Sheng Zhen is a most beneficial path of daily practice.
